Bachelor's degree and 5 yrs related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience and education. Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Must be able to develop, evaluate, & improve manufacturing methods; analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layouts of equipment. Confer with planning & design staff concerning product design & tooling to ensure efficient production methods; also with vendors to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of equipment/materials/parts, & evaluate products according to specs and quality standards. Person should have ability to problem solve (creatively at times. Experience in CNC Machining of Large components and assemblies for military and commercial applications. More of a job shop environment.
Should have computer knowledge of various software: database, design, internet, inventory, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
