Cost and Budget Intern
Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a motivated and hands-on Cost & Budget Intern who is looking to participate in various projects which willprovide the opportunity to further develop your financial skills within the largest privately-held rigid plastics manufacturer inNorth America, with global operations.
Other responsibilities are as follows:
- Assist with reporting and analysis of month end inventories.
- Analysis and maintenance of standard costs.
- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs,and providing reports to management.
- Determining costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
- Special projects as assigned.
Skills/QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree.
- Completion of intermediate level cost accounting courses required- Completion of advanced level cost accounting courses preferred- Solid Excel skills- Strong communication skills- Eagerness to learn- Full-time undergraduate student.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
