The Technical Project Manager functions as the technical part of the overall project management, coordinating and leading of the technical project team (ECU-PCM, SW-PCM, Appl-PCM, System Test and System Architecture.
System Development in an assigned project
Customer interface concerning system development
Contract the project team (System Architect, System Tester) (ECU-PMP)
Report status to Line-Management (PRC Level 3)
Trigger and perform quality checks
Establish and maintain Product Development Cockpit chart
Plan sample integration in the sample delivery sheet
Ensure availability of ECU w/SW and calibration and external sensors for System Testing
Schedule and track product verification (TTS)
Coordinate creation of Technical Customer Documentation (TCD)
Take over process role Configuration Manager
Defect monitoring, tracking and management on product
Coordinate creation of necessary risk assessments (for Management Releases)
Report technical status to customer
Align product verification plan with customer
Perform and participate in project meetings
Risk and change management
Global Project Management (working within global teams). Perform change management.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience leading automotive projects through full development lifecycle
Technical Project Management experience
Strong MS Office experience with emphasis on Excel and MS Project
Automotive Electronic Control Unit (ECU) experience a plusPMP certification is desired.
Previous airbag experience is also a plus
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
