My client is a multifaceted energy, land, and community development engineering and surveying firm serving public and private sector clients.
As they grow, they have asked us to help them find a Construction Engineer to join their team! The Construction Engineer II is responsible for performing and managing the technical and financial aspects of various construction and engineering projects, serving as a liaison between both office and field staff.
Projects may include design and applicable permitting of site layouts, grading plans, utility systems, stormwater management, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, and street improvements on a variety of projects including residential, office, retail, restaurant, infrastructure, and renewable energy for private and public clients.

DevelopmentSocial GatheringsFlexible SchedulesJob DetailsDuties & ResponsibilitiesComplete technical design and engineering duties for a variety of projectsManage client relationships and serve as liaison between office and field staffSchedule construction services field crewsCoordinate with field staff regarding various inspection, operations, and maintenance activityEnsure construction is being performed to quality standards in compliance with design specifications, drawings, budget and scheduleImplement and oversee materials testing and pavement evaluation programsProvide oversight and leadership for staff in carrying out construction supervision including contract administration, quality control, construction monitoring and evaluation, and other relevant activitiesInspect completion and sign-off on quality of workmanship along with crew leaders and external subcontractorsInterpret construction plans, standards and specificationsCoordinate work between agencies, contractor and other city departments (interact with contractors and their representatives while representing the contract owner)Assist in reviewing project drawings and specifications to gain a full understanding of project scope, client goals and expectations, and resource requirements for each phase of the projectQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementPE license preferredMinimum four (4) years applicable experienceHigh proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DHigh proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling softwareHigh proficiency with ESRI/Arc GISHigh proficiency with BS&A softwareHigh proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar softwareMust be willing to travel up to 50% of the time in both urban and remote areasInterested in hearing more?
