Reporting to the Plant Manager.
The production supervisor is responsible for overseeing production and assisting shipping in ensuring that Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality standards are achieved and maintained.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide technical expertise as required to the Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality Departments Ensure all employees are trained to perform their respective jobs, including the purpose of the safety features of their specific machine, workstation controls, and tools and equipment Review daily operating reports for compliance and communicate operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to superiors to prevent operational delays Prepare a variety of reports and other information for senior management Work safely and enforce the workplace safety practices set forth by Atlas Tube Inc.
& MIOSHA Review daily operating reports and report operational, manufacturing, maintenance issues and shift events to the plant manager to prevent operational delays Troubleshoot operational and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst and between Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality personnel Evaluate employee performance objectively based on the job requirements and behavioral indicators of performance Discipline Mill, Shipping, Quality, and Slitter personnel in coordination with plant management and Human Resources Obtain immediate medical treatment for all injured employees Notify appropriate management and enter required events (accidents, injuries, incidents) into Incident Management Software.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Post-Secondary Education, Technical Diploma, GED or Highschool Diploma Computer skills for reporting purposes Demonstrated Communication skills Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy Ability to work Rotating shifts 1st and 3rd every four weeks.

years Supervisory Experience, plus 5
years total in the manufacturing industry PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Plant - Work with Safety Manager to tailor requirements for each role, as needed.
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hours Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
Must be able to lift 60lbs.
