This position is primarily responsible to plan, execute and finalize purchasing and procurement strategies for Absopure Company.
This includes acquiring resources within budget and facilitating communication between the company and its providers in order to deliver products and services according to plan.
Responsibilities Develop and implement sourcing strategies while ensuring a consistent, high quality supply of material at the lowest total cost.
Perform various reconciliation, tracking, reporting, and price verification strategies.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies companywide.
Develop and maintain a knowledge-based database of each preferred supplier and the industry overall.
This is to include all key cost components, market trends, make vs.
buy analysis, as well as financial analysis, and leverage opportunities.
Monitor and measure overall supplier performance utilizing ranking and rating techniques.
Communicate with internal plant personnel and external suppliers to effectively source, maintain, and manage raw materials.
Protect company assets.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Packaging or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Position additionally requires excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Knowledge of Excel, MS Office and Accounting Software is required.
SAP experience preferred.
Ability to travel on occassion.
