We are currently recruiting for a safety professional to lead our client's health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the EHS supervisor in the provision of a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors and to achieve continuous improvement and a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness by ensuring that risks in the workplace are properly controlled and that impacts on the environment are minimized
- Maintain written environmental and safety programs and procedures in accordance with ISO14001, and corporate environmental, health, safety, and ergonomics requirements
- Support the EHS supervisor in maintaining monthly HSE KPI's.
- Help administer plant safety rules and regulations
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and injuries and with implementation of corrective actions
- Conduct safety inspections
- Support the EHS supervisor in all aspects of the plant emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, applicable employee training, and performance of routine drills.
- Participate in the Safety Committee and the Emergency Response Team
- Support employee suggestion and continuous improvement programs.
- Perform AED inspections
- Monitor and maintain First Aid supply inventory
Role Requirements:
- 1- 3 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial safety
- Computer skills in Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
